High end modified container accommodation
This modification project was done at Boxman's Auckland depot, and involved the steel work, fitting of windows and doors, some interior walls and the innovative fold-up decking base. Our client then completed the interior fit out and added the very cool roof sail once the unit was on site in Queenstown.
The single 45G1 (12.2m long) High Cube container provided 27m² of floor space. The container was insulated with Pink Batts in the walls and ceiling, and all the electrical, computer and communications wiring was hidden behind the lining for a nice tidy finish.
Because of the very high quality interior fixtures and fittings specified, and the aluminium joinery, this single unit modification came out towards the higher end of container architecture. This project is a classic example of taking a simple box and turning it into something pretty funky.
