The Ultrasafe (New Zealand) Ltd dangerous goods storage containers are purpose designed by
ourselves to meet the HSNO regulations that came into effect in July 2006 and are exclusive
to the New Zealand market.
Our containers have been tested and found compliant in Australia, where similar,
but more stringent, regulations are in place.
While still using a normal container as the basis of our design, we have added features
that make them ideal for storing dangerous goods. (These units are not suitable for
shipping. Click here if you want to move dangerous goods.) These features include:
- Solid steel construction with non slip aluminium floor
- A completely enclosed understructure that adds strength and provides drainage
- Substantial passive venting allowing free air flow
- Escape door with emergency exit handle inside
- Flame-proof mesh over ventilation points
- Lock box for added security
