Ultrasafe (New Zealand) Ltd can provide a range of different capacity Hazardous
Substances containers nationwide that will meet the requirements of the HSNO Regulations
for storage and containment.
These containers come in 6ft (5.45m3), 8ft (9.95m3), 10ft (15.95m3) and 20ft (33.2m3)
versions.
From its Nelson base, Ultrasafe (New Zealand) Ltd has been working with hazardous substances compliance officer
Bryan Watts & ERMA Test Certifier, Bruce Evans of Evatech Ltd. Evatech Ltd are
the Safety Management Consultants to the chemical and agrichemical industries, to match the
requirements of Boxman (New Zealand) Ltd's hazard containment containers to the relevant
HSNO Class Regulations.
ERMA approved, these units can store the following classes in compliance with current HSNO
regulations.
Class 2 – flammable gases, e.g.
LPG
Class 3 – flammable liquids, e.g.
petrol
Class 4 – flammable solids, e.g.
sulphur
Class 5 – oxidising agents, e.g.
chlorine, hydrogen peroxide, liquid oxygen
Class 6 – toxic substances, e.g.
pesticides
Class 8 – corrosive substances, e.g.
acids and alkalis
Class 9 – ecotoxic substances, e.g.
diesel
Note: The storage of
the above classes is dependent on the separation distances required & or fire rating of
a secondary building being adheared to as outlined in the HSNO
legislation.
